About SOAR
The SOAR Foundation is a nonprofit and nonpolitical organization created in 1995 in California, U.S. A. It is dedicated to provide educational opportunities to those impoverished yet deserving children in rural areas across China to acquire a basic education through scholarship awards. Up to 2005, it has granted 3500 plus students with scholarships. Since the first donation by the founder, Ms. Siu Fong Chang, there have been more than 3000 organizations and individuals supported the SOAR scholarship program.
樹華教育基金會是一個非牟利、非政治性的教育機構，1995年在美國加利福尼亞州注冊成立。基金會的宗旨是為了推動中國偏遠地區的基礎教育，向優秀、有志 好學但家境貧寒、需要資助的中學生提供獎學金，使他們順利完成學業，回報社會。基金會的工作中心是樹華獎學金計劃。到2005為止，已向3500多名分布 在全國各省區的優秀學生發放了獎學金。基金會的首筆捐款由創辦人張笑楓女士捐出，目前已有3000多個團體和個人成為樹華獎學金計劃的捐助人。
